Clean up after summer
The summer holidays are now over, and kids are heading back to school this week. Even though you've probably had a fantastic six weeks of activities and day trips, not to mention an abundance of bbqs, most parents will be breathing a sigh of relief to finally have a bit of free time to themselves.
However, as you now look around your home that isn't filled with children, you're probably feeling a bit deflated seeing it in need of a deep clean.
The fun of the summer has unfortunately meant the cleaning has been neglected slightly, and clutter still seems to fill every nook and cranny.
Now, instead of being able to focus on heading back to work yourself, you're apprehensive about the mammoth task in hand.
First things first then - you need to get rid of that clutter. Grab a bin bag and do a sweep of the house, throwing out anything that is essentially rubbish. You should then grab a box and do a sweep for the local charity shop. It's likely that the kids accumulated a number of new toys during the holidays, so it's time to get rid of some of their older bits.
Don't just focus on the kid's stuff though. What have you been hoarding that you don't need any longer?
Now that you've cleared some space, it's probably even more apparent that your home is in dire need of a thorough clean.
This will likely be a full day's task, so if you don't have the time before heading back to work, then it may be best to call in the professionals to help you out.
They can come in and clean the house from top to bottom, including the oven, meaning you can then return from work to a sparkling home that you can really enjoy.
