Clever ways to clean with a lemon
We all go out and buy what we believe are the best cleaning products hitting the shelves, but did you know that you could actually find a use for an item as simple as a lemon - which you probably have sat in your fridge?
So, how can you use them to get your home sparkling?
Clean the microwave
Pop some lemon slices in a jug with some hot water and heat it in the microwave for a few minutes. You'll find that any grime is then easily wiped away and your microwave is left smelling fresh too.
Sprinkle some rock salt onto your chopping boards and scrub it in with half a lemon. The salt can really get into all of the small notches made by your knives and leave your chopping boards sanitised and fresh.
Do you have stains on your nice wooden work surfaces? The acidity of lemon juice can remove these. Just rub lemon juice onto the stain and leave for a few minutes, then wipe away with a cloth and some warm water and they'll be as good as new.
Make a kitchen cleaner
After you've used lemon in a recipe, you usually just throw away what's left. Instead, add them to water in a spray bottle and leave for a few days. Now, you have a new kitchen spray! Use this daily to clean down the sides after cooking and leave the place sparkling.
If you don't fancy these options and would prefer a quick fix, then it's time to call in a professional house cleaner. They'll use the latest products to get all areas of your home clean and fresh so that you don't have to.
