Aircraft design firm issues unique carpet cleaning tips
People who are having trouble removing stubborn stains from their floors have been issued advice on carpet cleaning.
Aircraft detailing company AERO has suggested that once carpets have been shampooed, it is wise to go over the area again with plain water to remove the soap suds from the fibres, which can attract dirt.
As well as domestic cleaning advice, the firm has given a range of bizarre, yet useful tips on the best ways to set about sprucing up cars.
It suggested that applying mayonnaise to paint can be an effective way of removing tar, as the oil in the food product lifts the unwanted stains without damaging the paintwork.
Motorists who have begun to regret placing stickers on their cars needn't worry, as AERO has said lighter fluid can combat the tough adhesive very well.
A good window cleaning tip is to wipe the exterior in an up and down motion, while doing the inside from side to side, thus making it easier to locate streaks once the soap has dried.
Such innovative ideas may be embraced by Britons, many of whom already use toothbrushes for cleaning purposes, a recent British Dental Health Foundation survey said.
