New slim Dyson vacuum launched
The new Dyson Digital Slim DC35 vacuum cleaner has been praised by a reviewer.
Rob Waugh, writing for the Daily Mail, was impressed by the new machine that is ideal for carpet cleaning tasks.
Sir James Dyson's curly latest creation boasts a microprocessor-controlled motor that spins at 104,000 rpm, carbon fibre brushes and a rechargeable 22.2V lithium ion battery. The vacuum will operate for around 15 minutes from one charge, but this is cut to approximately six minutes if turbo mode is used.
Mr Waugh was impressed with the machine: "This isn't quite a Harry Potter-style wand you aim at the upholstery and yell, 'Dustiamus!' - but it is close."
He added: "Don't let any obsessive-compulsives near this machine: it just proves them right. Even 'clean' surfaces yield horrendous amounts of filth."
The cleaner has a number of different attachments intended for tasks such as hard floor cleaning and carpet cleaning. There is even a fitting designed especially to pick up dog hair.
The Digital Slim DC35 costs just under £200 and comes with a free 2-year guarantee.
