If you enjoy making curry from scratch or simply ordering it in, you will want to be extra careful whilst preparing and dishing it up as certain curries can dye things yellow, making the cleaning job a lot harder to complete afterwards.  If so much as a speck falls on your countertop you will have to wipe it off immediately as it takes no time at all for the stain to set in.

Don’t give up hope if you notice a curry stain too late.  Simply follow these cleaning tips and your countertop will be restored to its original colour in no time.

All you will need to remove a curry stain from your kitchen counter is:

  • White vinegar
  • Baking Soda
  • Water

Create a cleaning solution that contains two tablespoons of white vinegar, one tablespoon of baking soda, and a cup of warm water.  Mix thoroughly and apply the mixture to the yellow stains.

Let the mixture do its work for half an hour before giving the area a good scrub with a scouring pad.

When you see that the stain has lifted complete, give the area a rinse with hot water.  You may have to reapply the mixture if the stain is proving to be stubborn.

Of course, if you struggle to complete any household chores due to a busy schedule and total lack of energy, you could always hand the duties over to a professional cleaning company.
