Superbug cleaner moves to Isle of Man - 25/08/2009
Germ Warfare, a cleaning products firm specialising in products that fight superbugs, has moved its operations to the Isle of Man.
After winning the funding of TV Dragon James Caan, the firm's founder Paul Ward has moved the company to take advantage of better IT facilities, he told the Telegraph.
"Where we are at the moment we have lots of trouble with broadband, explained the entrepreneur.
Mr Ward's firm now employs six staff and is benefiting from support it receives from the islands' government.
The firm sells its cleaning supplies to large employers and doctors surgeries.
It is also supported by pressure group MRSA Action, which has proposed that the government invest in new research into MRSA and work more closely with European experts in the field.
Commercial cleaning companies in London can help fight the spread of viruses. According to government advice, hard surfaces "should be cleaned frequently" to help restrict the spread of the swine flu virus.
