End of tenancy cleaning firms in overdrive
- 09/11/2011

End of tenancy cleaning firms are experiencing soaring demand for their services, as the clamour for rented property continues to grow.

New statistics compiled by Countrywide Residential Lettings indicated that letting agents and landlords are seeing rented homes snapped up within just 12.7 days of going on the market.

This represents a record-low amount of time and the report also suggested that five potential tenants are chasing each property.

Tenant demand in the third quarter of 2011 grew by 10.8 per cent when compared with the corresponding three-month period in 2010.

End of tenancy cleaning specialists are seeing a lot more new landlords snapping up buy-to-let houses and flats, as the study showed that 23.5 per cent of property owners were investing in the sector for the first time.

Co-director at Countrywide Margaret Longden believes the pattern of high demand for rented abodes will continue, as fewer people have the financial power to buy their own house outright.

Cleaning companies that tidy up properties before new inhabitants move in recently heard bosses at accommodation website Wheretosleep.co.uk state that more foreign visitors to the UK are renting places to stay, rather than paying for hotels.
